From a possible move to a workable plan
You do not need another pile of information
The difficult part is getting the family priorities, destination evidence, money and timing to agree. The planner gives each part a clear place and helps you see what still needs an answer.
Agree what the move needs to achieve
Bring the adults' priorities, children's needs and the family's non-negotiables into one brief everyone can understand.
Compare places on equal terms
Ask the same questions about visas, schools, healthcare, housing and daily life so the best-researched destination does not win by default.
See what the first year may require
Keep moving costs separate from regular life, test three scenarios and understand the cash needed before routines settle.
Turn research into next steps
Keep sources, open questions, owners and dates together, then build a move timeline that starts before departure and continues after arrival.

Use the country briefs and SettleHappy guides to compare credible residence routes, schools, care, housing, costs and everyday life.
Add your evidence and numbers
Put sourced findings and quotes into the workbook. Its formulas organise the comparison without inventing scores or universal cost estimates.
Make the plan you can explain

A useful fit, not a universal one
Is this the right planning pack for your family?
It is likely to help if…
- You are comparing two or more Southeast Asian destinations.
- Children's education, care or family routine shapes the decision.
- You want to research properly before paying for visits, applications or a home.
- Your notes, quotes and open browser tabs need one clear structure.
- You want a plan the whole family can discuss, not a relocation spreadsheet only one person understands.
It is not designed to…
- You want personalised immigration, tax, financial, insurance or medical advice.
- You need a directory of recommended providers or guaranteed current prices.
- You want the planner to choose a country for you without adding your own family evidence.
The planner helps you prepare for professional advice; it does not try to replace it.
Professional without pretending to know your answer
Carefully built, checked and honest about its limits
Every designed page and workbook sheet was rendered and reviewed. Fields, formulas and file structures were tested, and important destination claims point families back to current sources.
- 191 PDF pages visually reviewedNo blank, clipped or unfinished pages in the customer package.
- 409 formulas checkedThe workbook organises your inputs without hidden destination estimates.
- Clear edition and update trailEdition 1.0 is dated September 2026 and explains how to look for newer editions.

Questions about the Family Move Planner
Clear answers about what is included, how the files work and what the product can—and cannot—do.
What is included in the Family Move Planner package?
The package contains 10 customer files: a five-page Start Here guide, an 87-page fillable planner, a nine-sheet formula-driven workbook, five 13-page destination briefs, a 34-page printable research pack and an editable Word document containing 14 provider-enquiry templates.
Which Southeast Asian destinations does it cover?
The comparison and destination briefs cover Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Bali and wider Indonesia, and the Philippines. The planning framework also helps families assess individual cities, schools, neighbourhoods and residence routes within those destinations.
Can I use it before visiting Southeast Asia?
Yes. It is deliberately designed for the research stage. Most worksheets help you gather official information, provider answers, costs and practical evidence from home. A scouting trip is optional and the planner includes a remote alternative.
Does the planner contain current cost estimates?
The product explains what to price and how to compare it, but it does not fill the workbook with universal estimates that may not fit your city, school or family. You add current sourced figures and quotes in one planning currency, and the formulas calculate your scenarios and cash-flow view.
Which apps do I need?
Use a recent PDF reader for the fillable planner and destination briefs. The workbook is made for Microsoft Excel and is suitable for importing into Google Sheets. The provider-enquiry templates are supplied as an editable Word document and can also be imported into compatible document editors.
Do I have to print all 191 PDF pages?
No. The main planner and destination briefs are designed for on-screen use. The separate printable pack is arranged so you can print only the worksheets useful to your family or current planning stage.
Will the PDF remember what I type?
A compatible PDF reader can save the fillable fields, but browser PDF viewers vary. Download the file, save a working copy and test one field before completing a long section. The package includes simple saving guidance.
Is this professional relocation, immigration or financial advice?
No. It is a structured research and planning product. It helps you prepare better questions and organise evidence, but important immigration, legal, tax, medical, insurance and financial decisions should be confirmed with current official sources and suitably qualified professionals.
How current is this edition?
Edition 1.0 was completed in September 2026. The destination briefs show their research check date and link to official starting sources and live SettleHappy guides. Rules, fees and services can still change, so the product asks you to record when each important fact was checked.
How will I receive the files?
After secure checkout, SettleHappy emails a private link to one organised ZIP download containing all 10 files. The link expires after seven days for security; keep the purchase email and contact us from the same address if you need a fresh link.
