44 schools · 12 family markets · first-year cash before extras
International School First-Year Cost Tracker
Annual tuition is rarely the amount a new family must have ready. This tracker adds the joining charges that schools disclose and labels incomplete figures clearly, so families can compare the first invoice rather than a misleading headline fee.
What this tracker changes
The first-year bill can be much larger than tuition
Registration, entrance, development and capital charges can materially change the order of a shortlist. A refundable deposit still matters to cash flow, even when the family may eventually receive it back.
Payable, not merely recurring
The tracker asks what a new primary-age family may need to pay in year one.
Floors stay labelled
Where a complete public fee schedule is missing, we do not invent the undisclosed amount.
Market context remains
Every school links back to a city guide covering admissions, support and the home-school journey.
Compare the markets
The range often matters more than the median
GBP equivalents create one charting scale. The table below keeps each school's original fee wording and provides a selected-currency planning equivalent.

These are disclosed first-year estimates, not school rankings. A one-school market point is shown as a benchmark rather than a market median.
A one-school point is not a market average. Bali - Canggu currently contributes one fully normalised school benchmark. Use the linked Bali guide to research the wider school market.
Dated school-by-school source register
Search all 44 named schools
Search by school, city, country or curriculum. Every school name opens the official fee or admissions source used for this edition. When a school has not published enough information for a defensible first-year figure, the selected-currency column says that a quote is needed rather than showing a false zero.

Transparent methodology
How a school enters the tracker
Inclusion is editorial and independent. A sponsored directory listing cannot buy a place, improve a figure or change the comparison method.
Name the school and campus
Every row points to a specific school and family market. A brand with several campuses is not treated as one interchangeable fee.
Use a primary-age benchmark
We use a disclosed Year 5, Grade 4 or comparable primary level where possible, so very different age ranges are not mixed together.
Add identifiable joining charges
Application, registration, entrance, capital, development and other compulsory first-year charges are added when publicly disclosed.
Show deposits honestly
Refundable deposits remain in the payable first-year amount when they are due, with the note explaining that they may later be returned subject to terms.
Label incomplete disclosure
When a school does not publish every charge, the figure is marked 'at least' or described as a floor rather than estimated from another school.
Keep extras outside unless stated
Transport, meals, uniform, devices, trips and child-specific support remain outside the total unless the row expressly says otherwise.
Important limitations
The tracker is a first-year research tool, not an admissions result
- Fees do not confirm a place, admission priority or the school's ability to support a particular child.
- Year-group naming differs between curricula; the closest published primary benchmark is used and recorded in the row.
- Exchange-rate equivalents are rounded planning figures, not the currency or amount the school will invoice.
- Tax, discounts, corporate debentures and nationality-specific charges may apply only in particular cases.
- Families should request a complete personalised invoice and refund terms before paying an application or deposit.
Programme and accreditation checks
Verify the exact campus and programme separately
A fee page does not establish academic recognition. Check current status in the awarding or accrediting body's own directory.
A maintained resource
When this dataset will be checked again
We check the tracker quarterly and run a complete refresh when schools publish a new academic-year fee schedule. A corrected or newly disclosed compulsory charge can be added between editions.
