Moving from Europe
Plan the European side of your family move
Europe gives you some useful cross-border frameworks, but it does not give every family one departure rulebook. Start with your home country's authorities, use European coordination where it genuinely applies, and check the Southeast Asian destination beside it.

Europe-wide guidance is a map—not the final answer.

Europe, EU, EEA and euro area are not the same thing
Every official rule has a geographic scope. Check whether it covers the EU, EEA, Switzerland, a customs territory, euro-area payments or only one country. The UK has its own departure library.

The handoff that matters
Ask each question at the right level
A clear source chain is safer than a confident answer from the wrong institution.
Regional source
Use Your Europe and the European Commission to understand coordination, scope and where national links begin.
National authority
Confirm residence, departures, healthcare, pensions, benefits, customs and country-specific forms.
Destination authority
Confirm immigration, work, tax, insurance, medicine, document and household-import requirements.
Now make it national
Start with the country your family is leaving
